  • Mr. Razi Ahmad Hanafi

A highly qualified and enthusiastic professional manager having distinctive educational career with Honours and Master’s Degrees & a Gold-Medalist from the University of Karachi and Certificate in Business Education from the Asian Institute of Management, Manila. He has an all-round experience in marketing, personnel & planning, supply & distribution, operations management, corporate & strategic planning, marketing economics, contracting & procurement and corporate affairs.

Has extensive experience in downstream petroleum marketing industry having worked throughout for Shell Pakistan and Admore Pvt LTD. All round training in business management both local and international, business exposure & grooming has provided him the required in-depth knowledge in all spheres of oil marketing & management enabling him to take-up top management position.

Highly recognized in the Oil Industry of Pakistan, Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority and the Ministry of Petroleum, for his professional competence and in-depth knowledge of Marketing, Supply & Distribution Management, Marketing Economics, Financial & Strategic Planning, Refinery Economics, Product Trading & Petroleum Pricing Mechanism.

He has played a vital role in the Industry Deregulation Process involving the Deregulation of Furnace Oil Imports, HSD Imports, Freight-Pool Self-Management System (author of the present Self-Management of Freight Pool Mechanism), Petroleum Pricing Mechanism for both Oil Marketing Companies and Refineries in Pakistan. Mr. Hanafi has also played a key advisory role and has provided the necessary professional support to the Ministry of Petroleum in the targeted Deregulation of the Petroleum Sector.

Has excellent contacts in the Ministries, Armed Forces, Local Government and the Diplomatic Corp at the highest echelon and has managed high profile representation extremely well. He is the Co-Founder of Admore Gas (Private) Limited the first ever Oil Marketing Company to be granted a marketing license by the Government of Pakistan in the private sector other than the Refineries purely professional competence. He has until recently been the Managing Director of Admore Gas (Private) Limited and has decided to divest his interests in Admore Gas to join Kepler Petroleum as its Chairman & Chief Executive. He is also the Director of Power One Refinery which plans to set up a Petroleum Refinery at the Arabian Sea Coast.

  • Mr. Suhaib Ahmad

Mr. Suhaib Ahmad is a young, dynamic entrepreneur who has built a team having decades of experience in the line of his business ventures. Mr. Suhaib has successfully created successful businesses supplying advanced electronic items and construction businesses in only a matter of a couple of years. He owns Zarar Electronics, having authorized dealerships from leading brands. Whereas his company, Rehman Construction, is a government-approved contractor. They have vast experience in building multi-story buildings, roads, and drainages. Besides, they are well experienced in industrial projects including the construction of oil depots/storages for kerosene and furnace oil.

Mr. Suhaib is very well connected and has deep roots in all the districts of KPK. Since assuming the director role at Kepler Petroleum, Mr. Suhaib has played an instrumental role in strategic development through securing various financial commitments, developing storage at Taru Jabba in KPK, and preserving the retail network.

  • Mr. Asif Ahmad Mian (Late)

Mr. Asif A. Mian has over 40 years of experience as a Chartered Accountant and is a Fellow Member of Institute of Chartered Accountants England & Wales (ICAEW) and Institute of Chartered Accounts of Pakistan (ICAP).

He did his Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce and holds a Master of Arts Degree in Economics from the University of Karachi. Thereafter, he earned his Chartered Accountant designation from ICAEW. He commenced his practice with Grainger Bonn & Co. Chartered Accountants, London, U.K which ultimately merged with Peat Marvick widely known as KPMG. He then served as Chief Auditor for Government of Libya administering equity management and overseeing the Libyan operations of multinational organizations in Oil and Gas industry like Mobil, Imperial Oil (ESSO), Continental, Marathon, AGIP, Occidental Veba and many more. He returned back to Pakistan in 1983 and served as Chief Internal Auditor in Attock Oil Refinery, Rawalpindi. By developing processes and controls. He played a pivotal role in transparent financial operation and steered the organization in effectively meeting their business challenges.

In 1997 he moved a step further in his professional career and became a founding partner of Masoom Khalid Asif & Co. Chartered Accountants in Karachi & Islamabad. He later joined as Partner in Alliott Shahid Sami & Co. which is affiliated with Alliott Group of U.K. Mr. Mian has a long association with ICAP and has served as a consultant to ICAP and his recommendations have directly impacted thousands of students who because of his suggestions experience quality of education from ICAP affiliated institutions.

Mr. Mian made use of his 30 years of experience in the domestic and international Oil & Gas industry played a key role as a founding Director in establishing Admore Gas (Pvt) Limited a leading downstream petroleum marketing company operating in Pakistan which has established multiple storage facilities and more than 400 service stations across the country. After the financial crisis of 2008 he was actively involved in the financial management and restructuring of the organization as Financial Advisor. Mr. Mian was also the Director of Power One Refinery which plans to set up a Petroleum Refinery at the Arabian Sea Coast.

Mr. Mian’s many years of broad-based experience in the industry and practice is an invaluable international energy perspective and investment insight. His financial management skills were matched only by his time management skills, which had allowed Mr. Mian to expertly balance his professional commitments.

  • Mr. Zafar Ahmed Khan

Mr. Zafar Ahmed Khan has vast experience of over 45 years. He started his professional venture in 1975 with Dawood Petroleum (collaborated with SO and PSO was formed) and later joined Caltex Pakistan (Now Chevron Pakistan) where he played major role in the implementation of Freight Pool Systems after which he returned to PSO where he looked after International Trade, Supply Chain Management, Marketing and Logistics. Thereafter, he also helped establish many departments of new OMC’s such as Marketing, Operation, Sales, Logistics and Supply chain Management.
He possesses tremendous expertise in developing marketing plans, manpower placements, training, design/division of sales areas, setting of targets and motivating the sales force.

His personal challenge is to enable his retailer or customer to uplift the optimum volume and thus generate the maximum profit for the company. He will be training his team to makes use of the latest techniques of forecasting, planning and investment evaluation to initiate viable sales proposals and new projects. He keeps himself well informed regarding the country’s economic condition, industrial affairs, company’s position and competitive environment.

  • Mr. Ejaz Ahmed Khan

Mr. Ejaz Ahmed Khan is a seasoned Campaigner in Pakistan’s oil Industry with an experience of over 37 years. Having educational background in Mechanical faculty of engineering he started his professional venture in 1975 with ESSO eastern Inc. which later transformed into Pakistan State Oil Company Limited.

He started his career with Operations department and served the company at different positions. With a Combination of in-depth technical knowledge and experience gained throughout his career Mr. Khan has developed extensive expertise in multiple business facet not just limited to supply chain management but also logistics, quality control, effective and efficient operational activities of POL Products and workforce development. Working his way up he has gained expertise in handling POL related activities and is considered among pioneer of various initiatives at PSO. Mr. Khan is also a member of Petroleum Institute of Pakistan (PIP).

  • Mr. Nabeel Asif

Mr. Nabeel Asif has served as the Chief Financial Officer & Company Secretary of First Dawood Investment Bank Limited where he previously held positions of Head of Internal Audit, Risk & Compliance.

Mr. Nabeel in the past has also been associated with Admore Gas (Pvt.) Limited as Chief Internal Auditor which became sixth oil marketing company in Pakistan having more than 400 petroleum/gas filling stations across the country. He played a pivotal role in improving control environment and assisted the Board of Directors in preparation/drafting and implementation of various policies at Admore Gas (Pvt).

Mr. Nabeel started his carrier with Price Waterhouse Coopers and later went to UK to complete his education. Whilst in UK he had a chance to work for LA Fitness renowned FTSE listed company involved in leisure & fitness business. During his stay in UK he was also involved in start-up of different companies. On his return he joined Alliot Hadi Shahid with offices in Pakistan & UAE. While in Pakistan he led the Audit of the Defence Housing Authority, Karachi one of the largest land developers in Asia which included head office and its affiliated 29 units including educational institutions, recreational clubs, etc. He was recognized by the Governing Body and was also appreciated for the quality of work by Secretary of Defence and Deputy Vice Chief Air Marshall of Pakistan Air Force so much so that he was invited to visit AHQ Islamabad. Whereas, in UAE he conducted financial and Audits assignments of financial institutions e.g. Subsidiaries’ of Mashreq Bank PJSC, United Insurance, Tufton Oceanic (Middle East) Limited – DIFC (Dubai International Financial Centre). Mr. Nabeel has also been involved in specialized assignments including International donor agencies viz. United Nations agencies and USAID and reported the matters which became fundamental to future funding decisions.
Mr. Nabeel is a member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants a global body for accounting professionals and holds double Bachelors in (i)Commerce from Karachi University (ii) Honours in Applied Accounting from Oxford, UK.
